JOIN TO «DIALOG OF GENERATIONS»!
«Totem» center starts new program with purpose of creation and support of dialog between generations and transmission of life experience of old people to youth. We interested in life stories of people, who were young during World War II, who remembers tragedies of totalitarian regimes.

WHY NOW? Because generation, which remembers World War II, leaves with every year. During Soviet past in all schools annual meetings with veterans were organized, but now young people are not so interested in the events of the past. From the other side, every family have people, which remember that historical tragedies that modern young people know only on films. For these people events of war will never become antiquated, because it was part of their life. In different countries among those people, who today carelessly names them-selves «neo-fascists» or skin-heads, there are no old people - only those young people, who knows history badly.
We consider that today it is necessary to talk with generation, which lived in times of the most tragic events of the XX century - to talk in order to preserve our future from such mistakes.

LIVING HISTORY
In our organization we created a workshop, which was named «Living history». A workshop is an original ground for meetings and intercourse of young and elderly people, during which we want to hear real life stories. We collect audio-material for publishing almanac «Living history» and creation of theatrical performances. Also actions «Living history» will be organized on the streets of our city that will give to its inhabitants possibility to hear some life histories collected already or to add the story of their own family.

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN «DIALOG OF GENERATIONS».
