About organization
Kherson city center of youth initiatives "Totem" is a youth organization, founded by the citizens of Ukraine. It is voluntary, independent and unprofitable. Its creators and activists are united by the awareness of the need of constant and goal-directed work with youth, supporting rational youth initiatives, propositions and projects, desire to support social and cultural progress in the society.
YIC is formed due to the Constitution of Ukraine, Ukrainian law "of citizen unions", ‘of youth and children citizen organizations'.

History of organization
Center "Totem", as a union of progressive youth, was formed in 1996. As a youth organization it was registered on the 31st of 1999

Our mission is supporting the most complete self-realization of the young people in society, with forming an active social position as well as personal development.

Our aims:
• Fulfilling and protection of youths rights;
• Satisfaction of social, cultural, creative, economic and other common interests;
• Uniting democratically directed youth, which has an active life position, for building peoples society in Ukraine and raising its cultural level;
• Support and development of youth movement;
• Help in the social development of Ukrainian youth.

Sources of the financial support:
Voluntary donations, grants, taking part in programs of partner organizations, state institutions and social services.

How to become a member:
Address YIC TOTEM, write petition. Take part in volunteer actions ore one of the programs, presented on this site.
